how was September at BritCham? Let's look back together at the events of the past month and look forward to upcoming activities.

The Annual General Meeting, which was attended by 33 BritCham members in person or via an online stream, by a majority of votes approved the Annual Report for 2021, the Budget for 2022 and the Financial Report for 2021. The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of BCC SR, Miroslava Remenárová, presented the activities and intentions of the Chamber and informed the attendees of activities carried out in 2021. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nigel Baker spoke about the important position of the Chamber, its stable position and its good name within the Slovak business environment. He assured those present of the support and ongoing cooperation from the British Embassy.

The BritCham members present elected seven members of the new Board of Directors out of eight candidates.

At the end of the meeting, the Executive Director of BritCham, Žaneta Kúdelová, announced the new composition of the BritCham Board of Directors for the next two-year term:

The weather was kind to this year's Golftrophy 2022 tournament. Beautiful sunny weather guaranteed enjoyment of the game. The traditional event was organized by ChamCham, the informal association of chambers of commerce operating in Slovakia, in the Sedín golf resort on September 23, 2022.

The popular networking event organized by ChamCham took place on September 28, 2022, at the Lindner Hotel. For those of you who are looking for new contacts and business opportunities, this event is the ideal platform. We will inform you about the next Speed Business Meeting in good time.

The Export Forum is a platform of economic diplomacy to discuss the setting, priorities and tools of Slovakia's export policy. It offers entrepreneurs direct contact with economic diplomats and other actors of the state administration. It is a place of presentation and provision of pro-export services.

Miroslava Remenárová, the Chairwoman of the BritCham Board of Directors and Corporate Affairs Manager at Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia, also spoke in the panel discussion on the topic of New trends and challenges of the automotive industry.

At the end of the event, successful Slovak exporting companies were awarded for their extraordinary contribution in promoting the interests of the Slovak Republic and cooperation in the field of economic diplomacy.

We bring to your attention the possibility to obtain all the important information about the mandatory marking of goods with the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) label from the experts. The change will come into force in the UK in just a few months, from 1 January 2023. It applies to most goods where CE marking has previously been required.

To make it easier for businesses to transition to the UKCA regime, the UK government is running free seminars through Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
