A new BritCham Board of Directors was elected at the Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic ("BCC SR") took place on September 27, 2022, at the LOFT Hotel, Štefánikova 4, Bratislava, with the participation of His Majesty’s Ambassador to Slovakia & Honorary President of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic, Mr Nigel Baker.

The Annual General Meeting, which was attended by 33 BritCham members in person or via an online stream, by a majority of votes approved the Annual Report for 2021, the Budget for 2022 and the Financial Report for 2021. The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of BCC SR, Miroslava Remenárová, presented the activities and intentions of the Chamber and informed the attendees of activities carried out in 2021. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Nigel Baker spoke about the important position of the Chamber, its stable position and its good name within the Slovak business environment. He assured those present of the support and ongoing cooperation from the British Embassy.

The BritCham members present elected seven members of the new Board of Directors out of eight candidates.

At the end of the meeting, the Executive Director of BritCham, Žaneta Kúdelová, announced for the next two-year term:

  • Miroslava Remenárová, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Jaguar Land Rover
  • Tatiana Hargašová, the Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, KPMG
  • Martina Slabejová, the Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, HB Reavis 
  • Veronika Bush, a member of the Board of Directors, Tesco Slovakia 
  • Karen Eastwood, a member of the Board of Directors, British International School of Bratislava
  • Lucia Raimanová, a member of the Board of Directors, Allen & Overy
  • Eduard Sattler, a member of the Board of Directors, Vojčík & Partners
We congratulate the newly elected members of the Board of Directors; we wish them a lot of creative energy and look forward to working together.

We also thank you, our members, for your participation, whether in person or online. You have created a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere. We appreciate your support and look forward to our future cooperation.

Golftrophy 2022

The weather was kind to this year's Golftrophy 2022 tournament. Beautiful sunny weather guaranteed enjoyment of the game. The traditional event was organized by ChamCham, the informal association of chambers of commerce operating in Slovakia, in the Sedín golf resort on September 23, 2022.

The popular networking event organized by ChamCham took place on September 28, 2022, at the Lindner Hotel. For those of you who are looking for new contacts and business opportunities, this event is the ideal platform. We will inform you about the next Speed Business Meeting in good time.
Export Forum 2022

Export forum - a unique opportunity to discuss the needs of Slovak exporters with top representatives of the state.

The Export Forum is a platform of economic diplomacy to discuss the setting, priorities and tools of Slovakia's export policy. At the end of the event, successful Slovak exporting companies were awarded for their extraordinary contribution in promoting the interests of the Slovak Republic and cooperation in the field of economic diplomacy.
