Once again, we are partnering with the Slovak Compliance Circle - SCC, and at the prestigious annual conference Slovak Compliance Days 2024, we will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic:Doing Business in V4 Countries: What Geopolitical and Regulatory Changes Have Given and Taken Away from Companies in Recent Years, and What They Still Need to Prepare for.
As part of it, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of BritCham, Miroslava Remenarova, will share experiences from the United Kingdom and initiatives to address the challenges facing the business sector. Our chamber has a long-standing partnership with the most significant automotive conference in the region #newmatec. The theme that resonated during the first day is the perspectives and challenges of the transformation of the automotive industry. We have been focusing on this topic for several years, naturally thanks to our member and patron, Jaguar Land Rover Nitra. The panel discussion of top representatives of car manufacturers in Slovakia attracted great attention, with the Nitra plant of JLR represented by its executive director Guillermo Mancholas. The lecture by Michael G. Jacobides, a professor from the prestigious London Business School, was also inspiring. |

| GIRL'S DAY WITH AJ TY V IT |

For the 11th time, our member, organisation Aj Ty v IT, led the International Day of Women and Girls in IT on April 25. Through companies that participated, girls aged 15-19 were able to explore interesting opportunities that a career in IT can offer them. More than 1,300 girls from all over Slovakia participated. |

They visited 56 companies and organizations, each of which prepared a unique program for them. Through interactive programs or discussions, they presented great opportunities for them to excel. One of them was our member, Tatra banka. We are proud that for the first time, we were also Partner of Girl's Day. |

"We are in daily contact with girls, so we know the pressure they experience already in the 2nd year of high school. That's when they choose seminars that should determine the direction of their careers. Therefore, we want them to have enough information about the IT sector at these moments, but also throughout high school, to help them make decisions. We need to eliminate all stereotypes that could divert them from IT," explained Petra Kotuliaková, director of the Aj Ty v IT organization, at a press conference. |

International law firm CMS is implementing two key changes in the leadership of its offices in Prague and Bratislava, effective from May 1st of this year.
