The Production management conference atttracts over 200 production managers and directors to Žilina every year. In addition to lectures, participants are attracted by the opportunity to discuss with speakers and other participants in informal conversations outside the conference hall. Do not lose touch with production management trends and join the participants of the 12th annual conference. |
What topics are on the agenda? Where and how to find people for production? There is a lack of qualified, capable people and our social behavior is also changing. How to practically handle automation and digitization? How to reduce costs? Where to look for reserves for further optimization? What trends and challenges will manufacturing companies face? |

ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS SET NEW PLANS |

OUR GENERAL MEETING APPROVED KEY CHAMBER ACTIVITIES AND FOCUS ON SUPPORTING MEMBERS' SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
We met in person and online on September 18 at the premises of KPMG in Bratislava. The report on the activities and future direction of the chamber was presented by the Chairwoman of the Board Miroslava Remenarova. She shared how the new Board of Directors, elected a year ago, started the journey of repositioning the chamber and defined the key areas that the chamber will focus on.
Our members had the opportunity to meet H.E. Nigel Baker, the British ambassador to Slovakia and also the honorary president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia. His words were extremely encouraging: he appreciated the new direction and how our chamber engages in topics such as innovation, ESG or diversity and inclusion, as well as how we are expanding our activities to the regions of Slovakia, including the new representation in Košice. He also supported the idea of two innovations - the WOMEN FOR THE FUTURE and ESG AWARDS initiatives, about which you will soon learn more.
Thank you KPMG, our Patron, for allowing us to meet at their premises and for all the support they have given us! |

HERE WE ARE AGAIN, KOŠICE - TEA PARTY WITH OUR MEMBERS |
Right after the summer break, our steps again led to our branch in Košice, where we met again with our members and sympathizers on September 18, 2023. We did not come alone - our special guest was H.E. Nigel Baker, British Ambassador to the Slovak Republic and our Honorary President together with Mrs. Ivana Winbladh, Country Director, Slovakia at Department for Business and Trade (DIT).
We used their presence to discuss together business topics and inspirations from the UK. The fact that we were in Košice only a day after the General Assembly, contributed to the fact that our discussion reflected the topics presented by the Board of Directors and members at the annual meeting. We thank the Vojčík & Partners law office for a great atmosphere again. |

AT THE SLOVAKIATECH EXPO 2023 FOR THE FIRST TIME AND IMMEDIATELY AS PARTNER |
On September 19-20, 2023, Košice became the venue for the 5th edition of the biggest innovation and technology conference and fair in our country - SLOVAKIATECH FORUM - EXPO 2023.
Those whose ambition is to bring and create innovations met in the premises of the Kulturpark - scientists, inventors, developers, startupists, representatives of technical universities, entrepreneurs and state representatives. Our chamber, as the only chamber of commerce in Slovakia, joined SLOVAKIATECH FORUM – EXPO 2023 as a partner of the event.
We had two speakers in the program. The first one took place in the Start Ups section, where our member, the Matejka&Friedmannová lawyer's office, presented how innovations can improve the competitiveness of legal service providers, where they gave an example of their product from the world of applications for entrepreneurs - ORSR.HELP. There was also an invitation to participate in the development of similar applications within the common platform with our chamber, which is the LEGAL TECH HUB.
The second appearance was in the section of the program focused on the topic Women, business, innovation. Miroslava Remenárová made a contribution for our chamber, on the topic of Courage as an Accelerator of Innovations. It caught the attention of the participants and suitably complemented the Women for the Future initiative, which you can find more information about in our News. We were proud when among the special guests we met H.E. Nigel Baker, the British ambassador to Slovakia, who was also actively interested in innovations and the results of the work of students from universities who had their own special exhibition. |

GOLFTROPHY IN A SPIRIT OF TEAMWORK AND BUSINESS |
Golftrophy is an event that gives space to the sporting spirit and new business relationships. Whoever came to the Sedín Golf Resort on 22nd September day enjoyed a sun-drenched green and great program, prepared together with other chambers. Those who are just getting started with golf could try their first shots under the guidance of experienced coaches in the golf academy. "It was exactly the type of event that opens up new opportunities to get to know each other in situations other than just the work environment. It was my first GOLFTROPHY and it was worth it," says Ivona Žitná, Event & Relationship Manager of our chamber. |
