UK exports in last decade worse than any G7 country except Japan - Britain has endured the worst exports record of any member of the G7 besides Japan over the last decade, according to a new analysis that will raise pressure on the government to reconsider its post-Brexit trade deal with the EU There have been repeated complaints from business leaders about a range of post-Brexit obstacles to trading with the EU and the lack of effort by the UK government in seeking to address them. Mexico has become the US's largest trading partner and one of the world’s top carmaking nations. With disruptions from Covid-19 and the US-China trade war, Mexico is well-positioned to benefit from the shift in global supply chains. It boasts cheaper labor, a broad-based car supply chain, and access to the North American free trade deal USMCA. According to Francisco Bautista of EY Latin America, Chinese companies are increasingly interested in the Mexican market. In fact, EY is working with four Chinese electric vehicle companies looking to locate production in Mexico. #mexico

My journey continues, after visiting French clients, this week I am in Poland: but what are the advantages of this country? First of all the central geographical position, in fact Poland is located in the center of Europe, with access to important markets Western, Eastern and Northern Europeans. This strategic location facilitates the transport of goods to and from Europe, as well as to and from other regions of the world and PSA BDP is investing heavily in green transport solutions such as rail solutions. This has attracted investment and helped develop a robust manufacturing base, generating significant flows of imports and exports. Thanks to trade agreements and related infrastructure, Poland offers easy access to important global markets, both in Europe and outside the continent. This favors the growth of intercontinental exports and imports. The country's political and economic stability are key factors in ensuring a favorable environment for investment and business growth at an international level. In summary, PSA BDP Poland represents a solid choice for intercontinental import and export shipments thanks to its central location, advanced infrastructure, in a country with a growing economy, skilled workforce, access to global markets and political and economic stability. The candidate for next presidency of European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, starts her IRA program. But how many state subsidies go into Chinese OEM- who knows any number? What is this for, a topic of a political campaign? Do we really believe that the local Chinese market with more competitive cars is fully subsidized? The Chinese OEM may be pushed forward by local governments as shareholders, but is this still possible after the Covid burden?
