💻Náš člen Aj Ty v IT organizuje jedinečné podujatie Girl's Day 2025, ktoré je súčasťou Medzinárodného dňa dievčat v IT sektore. Tento deň sa každoročne oslavuje štvrtý štvrtok v apríli po celom svete. 

Podujatie má za cieľ priblížiť dievčatám vo veku 15 až 19 rokov svet IT a moderných technológií. Ukazuje im možnosti štúdia, práce a podnikania v tomto dynamickom sektore a pomáha im objaviť potenciál, ktorý technológie ponúkajú.

Za 11 rokov organizácie Girl's Day na Slovensku sa na podujatí zúčastnilo viac ako 10 440 stredoškoláčok.

💻Our member Aj Ty v IT organises a unique event Girl's Day 2025, which is part of The International Girls in ICT Day.  This day is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday in April around the world. 

The event aims to introduce girls aged 15 to 19 to the world of IT and modern technologies. It shows them the possibilities of study, work and business in this dynamic sector and helps them discover the potential that technology has to offer.

During 11 years of Girl's Day in Slovakia, more than 10 440 high school girls have participated in the event.

Become a partner of Girl's Day 2025 and contribute to making IT acessible for everyone - regardless of gender.

☕ Rok 2025 sme začali podujatím „Cup of Tea s britským veľvyslancom“ v Košiciach. 

V spolupráci s naším patrónom, Vojčík & Partners, s.r.o., sme tradične vytvorili príjemné prostredie pre diskusiu a networking pre našich pozvaných hostí a členov.

Podujatiu dodala prestíž aj účasť J.E. Nigela Bakera, britského veľvyslanca na Slovensku. Veľmi nás teší, že pán veľvyslanec opäť zavítal medzi našich členov a pozvaných hostí z radov biznisu a štátnej správy.

🤝 Ďakujeme za inšpiratívne diskusie s našimi členmi a hosťami a za milý darček od nášho patróna Bardejovské Kúpele, a.s. Do Košíc sa vždy radi vraciame a už teraz sa tešíme na ďalšie podujatia!

☕ We kicked off 2025 with the event "Cup of Tea with the British Ambassador" in Košice. 

In cooperation with our patron, Vojčík & Partners, s.r.o., we once again created a pleasant environment for discussion and networking for our invited guests and members.

The event was further distinguished by the presence of H.E. Nigel Baker, the British ambassador to Slovakia. We are delighted that Mr. Ambassador has again visited our members and invited guests from business and state administration.

🤝 Thank you for the inspiring discussions with our members and guests and for the nice gift from our patron Bardejovská Kúpele, a.s. We always enjoy returning back to Košice and are already looking forward to the next events!

Je už tradíciou, že v januári pozývame našich patrónov a členov predstavenstva Britskej obchodnej komory na Novoročný prípitok s J.E. Nigelom Bakerom, britským veľvyslancom na Slovensku.

Príhovor pána veľvyslanca priniesol pozitívny pohľad na rok 2025, zdôrazňujúc dôležitosť spolupráce a spoločných hodnôt, ktoré nás spájajú.

Ivona Žitná, výkonná riaditeľka, poďakovala za podporu a spoluprácu a predstavila kľúčové projekty na tento rok.

Podujatie sa nieslo v priateľskej a inšpiratívnej atmosfére, ktorá podporila osobné stretnutia a zaujímavé diskusie.

Bolo nám cťou byť súčasťou tohto výnimočného podujatia a už teraz sa tešíme na ďalšie iniciatívy a pokračovanie úspešnej spolupráce v roku 2025!

It is already a tradition that in January, we invite our patrons and members of the Board of Directors of the British Chamber of Commerce to a New Year's Toast with H.E. Nigel Baker, the British ambassador to Slovakia.

The ambassador's speech offered an optimistic outlook for 2025, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and common values ​​that unite us.

Ivona Žitná, Executive Director, expressed her gratitude for the support and cooperation and introduced the key projects for this year.

The event was marked by a friendly and inspiring atmosphere, fostering personal connections and engaging discussions.

We were honoured to be part of this exceptional event and we are already looking forward to upcoming initiatives and the continuation of our successful cooperation in 2025!

The international law firm Bird & Bird is expanding its Slovak team in Bratislava with the arrival of two experienced lawyers Katarína Galgóci and Nada Fujáková, joining as Senior Associates.

Katarína will strengthen the team dealing with legal issues in the field of employment, Naďa will specialised in commercial law and dispute resolution.
