Reigniting the Slovak economy through Hospitality and Tourism, MICE DAYS

The COVID-19 crisis has been a huge shock to the hospitality and tourism sector, with unprecedented effects on jobs and businesses. But this crisis is an opportunity to rethink tourism for the future. All the measures that are put in place today will shape the tourism of tomorrow.

We all know that it will take more than this summer to repair the damage caused by the pandemic but it is encouraging to see how much the domestic gastronomy and tourism industry is ready and waiting for the return of travel.

With this event we want to bring the public and private sector together to discuss plans and strategies that can help with the recovery and also to highlight the importance of this sector to the economy and wellbeing of the nation. We are inviting a UK speaker to hear from their experience and get insight and inspiration for the Slovak market.

The event will be opened by Nigel Baker, HM Ambassador to Slovakia and Tracy Halliwell MBE, Director of Tourism and Convention Bureau at London & Partners.

(Please note that due to covid restrictions the number of participants is limited to attend at the Park Inn Hotel, only first 50 participants will be registered.)

Pandémia COVID-19 bola obrovským šokom pre odvetvie služieb v oblasti cestovného ruchu. Spôsobila nepredvídateľný a obrovský dopad na všetkých, čo v ňom pôsobia, vrátane dopadu na pracovné miesta. Táto kríza je však aj príležitosťou na prehodnotenie cestovného ruchu budúcnosti. Všetky opatrenia, ktoré sa spravia dnes, budú formovať cestovný ruch zajtrajška.



Všetci vieme, že náprava škôd spôsobených pandémiou bude istotne trvať dlhšie ako toto leto, avšak je povzbudzujúce sledovať, ako sa tí, čo v tomto odvetví pôsobia a podnikajú, už pripravujú a s očakávaniami vítajú návrat k obnoveniu cestovného ruchu.

Týmto podujatím chceme spojiť verejný a súkromný sektor s cieľom prediskutovať plány a stratégie, ktoré môžu pomôcť pri obnove, a tiež zdôrazniť význam tohto odvetvia pre ekonomiku a pre prosperitu celej krajiny. Pozývame špeciálneho hosťa z Veľkej Británie, aby sme si vypočuli, aké majú priamo v Londýne skúsenosti so znovuoživením domáceho cestovného ruchu a získali tak inšpirácie aj pre jeho opätovné rozbehnutie na Slovensku.

Podujatie je súčasťou Bratislava MICE DAY (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) v spolupráci s Bratislava Convention Bureau a Bratislava Tourist Board.

Podujatie bude dostupné v slovenskom aj anglickom jazyku (tlmočenie).
